Creator Monetization Policy
Last updated: March 31, 2026
This Creator Monetization Policy explains the rules that apply when creators, publishers, businesses, or other eligible participants earn money through Ringu's monetization features. These features may include advertising revenue share, subscriptions, tips, gifts, branded content tools, affiliate links, commerce features, creator funds, bonuses, or other incentive programs.
This policy supplements Ringu's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, Platform Policy, and any program-specific terms or product notices.
1. Eligibility
To use Ringu monetization features, you must meet any eligibility requirements we set for the applicable program. These may include minimum age, account good standing, country availability, tax or payout onboarding, original-content requirements, follower or view thresholds, and compliance with local law.
Eligibility may vary by program, and meeting baseline requirements does not guarantee acceptance into any particular monetization offering.
2. Required Disclosures
If you promote a brand, product, service, or commercial relationship on Ringu, you must make clear and legally compliant disclosures. Where Ringu provides a branded-content or promotional disclosure tool, you must use it when required.
You are responsible for complying with advertising, consumer-protection, endorsement, competition, and disclosure laws that apply to your content.
3. Originality and Content Standards
Monetized content must comply with Ringu's Community Guidelines and other policies. It must also be sufficiently original, authentic, and creator-led.
We may reject, restrict, or demonetize content that is:
- copied, mass-reuploaded, or minimally altered from other sources;
- misleading, fraudulent, or engagement-manipulative;
- sexually exploitative, violently graphic, hateful, or otherwise unsafe for advertisers or audiences;
- created primarily to exploit recommendation systems, payouts, or incentives.
4. Restricted Promotions and Sensitive Categories
Certain categories may be prohibited from monetization entirely or allowed only with additional safeguards. These may include regulated goods, political or issue advertising, financial products, gambling, adult-oriented offerings, medical claims, and content directed to minors.
Ringu may restrict monetization eligibility for content that is legal to host but not appropriate for broad advertiser support or paid promotion.
5. Payouts, Taxes, and Fees
If you participate in a paid program, you must provide accurate payout, identity, and tax information where requested. You are responsible for any taxes, reporting obligations, chargebacks, or fees that apply to your earnings unless program terms state otherwise.
Ringu may hold, adjust, offset, delay, or cancel payouts where we reasonably believe it is necessary to investigate fraud, correct errors, enforce policy, comply with law, or manage risk.
6. Fraud, Abuse, and Artificial Activity
You may not inflate eligibility, metrics, or payouts through fraud or abuse.
This includes:
- buying or generating fake followers, views, likes, comments, clicks, or conversions;
- coordinating inauthentic networks to boost performance;
- misrepresenting traffic sources, audience identity, or commercial claims;
- creating duplicate or evasion accounts to re-enter restricted programs;
- abusing referral, bonus, rewards, or appeals systems.
7. Program Review and Enforcement
Ringu may review accounts, content, disclosures, payout records, and related activity to determine compliance with this policy and any program-specific rules.
If we identify a violation, we may:
- remove monetization from specific content;
- require edits or disclosures before content becomes eligible;
- suspend or terminate access to monetization tools or programs;
- withhold or recover earnings tied to invalid activity or policy violations;
- disable related accounts where abuse is repeated or severe.
8. Suspension, Removal, and Reapplication
Monetization access may be suspended or removed if your account falls out of good standing, your content repeatedly violates policy, your information cannot be verified, or your activity creates legal, safety, or reputational risk.
Some programs may allow reapplication after a waiting period or after problems are cured, but Ringu is not required to restore monetization access.
9. Changes to Programs or This Policy
Ringu may change, pause, or discontinue monetization features, eligibility criteria, payout structures, or this policy at any time. Where reasonable, we may provide notice through the service or by other reasonable means.
